| Course Description |
|
This course teaches the participants the philosophy of Six Sigma and how to achieve that level of excellence in an organization. It covers the basics for understanding the meaning of Sigma, and the concepts behind Six Sigma. This includes its computation, derivation from the Normal Distribution and other distributions, and its function as an index of quality and excellence.
The course also demonstrates the role of Six Sigma as a quality goal and its measurements associated to other indices, such as Process Capability Indices (Cp, Cpk, Cpm), Parts-Per-Million (PPM), Defects-Per-Million (DPM), Defects-Per-Million-Opportunities (DPMO).
The instructor will also present a roadmap on how to reduce variability, defects and errors, and achieve Six Sigma in both technical (manufacturing) and non-technical (administrative, service and transactional) processes.
