Millions of dollars in capital equipment are spent in SMT production systems (printers, component placement, reflow ovens...), but little attention is given to determining if the equipment performs to its original specifications, or fulfills process capability requirements.
Machines not performing to design specifications most likely produce defects and have low yields. This course will teach you how to do machine-capability performance verification, validation and specification compliance. It will help you to ensure optimal machine operation and maximize yields.
