Developer of The Original Methodology
ASC designed the original M/PCpS™ Methodology for the achievement of Six Sigma.

It was first implemented at Motorola in 1985, before Bob Galvin, the CEO at the time, officially launched the Six Sigma Program in Thursday, January 15 of 1987.

ASC’s Methodology was extensively used throughout Motorola’s worldwide operations from 1985 through 1997. Six Sigma was responsible for the quality gains and the over $2 billion in bottom-line savings that culminated in winning the Malcolm Baldridge Award in 1988.

In 1990, ASC was the first to offer training and consulting in Six Sigma outside of Motorola to Allied Signal.

What is Six Sigma
Six Sigma is an optimized level of performance approaching zero-defects in a process producing a product, service or transaction. It indicates achievement and maintenance of world-class performance.

For an organization to embark on Six Sigma means delivering top quality service and product, while at the same time virtually eliminating all internal inefficiencies. In other words, it means having a common focus on excellence throughout the whole organization in everything they do.

What makes a Six Sigma initiative successful is the full support of upper management and a solid phase-wise infrastructure; but, as important, what makes a Six Sigma initiative successful is a systematic Methodology.
